Abstract
In June 1994, the Ministry of Agriculture, Royal Government of Bhutan with
the assistance of UNDP/OPS, IFAD and Kyusei Nature Farming Center, Thailand
introduced the concept and practical aspects of Kyusei Nature Farming and
EM Technology to Bhutan and the result of EM technology already visible.
Bhutan is receiving regular assistance in the form of technical expertise
and finance from APNAN Bangkok. Through such assistance the concept and
practices of Kyusei Nature Farming and EM Technology applications are being
promoted through the school agriculture program in Bhutan and has been
well accepted in the school agriculture program. This is in line with the
national agriculture policy of Bhutan for sustainable and eco-friendly
agriculture development and conservation of environment.
