Abstract
Effective Microorganisms (EM) improves the growth and yield of crops increasing
the beneficial microorganism populations in soil and nutrient uptake by
plants. In this study, effects of EM on growth and yield of crops were
examined through micro-pot and field experiments. The experimental results
showed that the application of EM-1 and its early treatment time at growth
stage of rice seedlings are suitable. The use of EM improved also the root
growth, and total nitrogen and chlorophyll contents and then increased
the yield of paddy rice and Chinese cabbage.
