Abstract
The practical application of EM in Austria covers many projects, ranging from crops to environmental development. However, the projects with animals play an important role due to the prominence given for livestock in the country. The use of EM in swine and cattle in different parts has produced very good results. EM is used in composting sludge and in composting wastes. EM bokashi is fed to cattle, which has caused increased yields of milk. An organic pond has been cleaned with EM. These projects will be highlighted to present the success of the technology in Austria over a period of 4 years.
