The objective of INFRC is to contribute to the conservation of the natural environment, to the production and supply of safe, high-quality and healthy agricultural products and to the vitalization of agriculture and local communities through the research, development and global dissemination of production technologies of Nature Farming, which leads to the establishment of sustainable societies.
Even in the prime era of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, the followers of the philosophy of the founder Mokichi Okada practiced Nature Farming and passed it down to younger generations. As people increasingly demand for food safety and widely share a sense of danger toward environmental destruction caused by the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, the role of Nature Farming is becoming highly recognized today.
Our organization was approved as an incorporated foundation by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan in 1985. Since then, we have been working on the research and development of Nature Farming, its dissemination in Japan and overseas and the support of organic agriculture to promote healthy diet in society through the supply of safe and high quality farm products, the development of agriculture and rural areas and the conservation of the natural environment. In 2012, we made a new start as a public interest incorporated foundation accredited by the Cabinet Office of Japan.
